Obituary of Mike A. Palm

Mike A. Palm, 51, a resident of Tenino, passed away from a heart attack on September 12, 2009. Mike was born January 28, 1958 in McRae, Georgia to Edward and Shirley Powell. After high school, he joined the Army and served his country. In June of 1979, Mike married Cynthia L. Carlson in Thurston County. Mike will be missed by his extended family at Mowat Construction Company where he worked as a Superintendant of Construction for many years. When not hard at work, you could often find Mike hunting, fishing, and karaoke. His other great love was Poppa’s 3 ‘Angels’ – Dizzy Desi, KyKy, and TROUBLE. Surviving Mike are his wife, Cynthia; a daughter, Michelle Steed; sons, Chris, Tony, and Jeff Palm; brothers, Jeff Powell, Jimbo Powell, Kevin Powell, Rodney Hauschild; a sister, Terri Killion; parents, Edward B. Powell and Shirley J. Hauschild; his grandmother LaVaughn Anderson; and his 3 ‘Angels’. He was predeceased by his step-father Louie Hauschild, a brother, Gus Anderson and his grandfather, Edwin Anderson.
