Mike, I know it has been awhile since I have been on this site but you know that I talk to you every day. Please take care of Connie and make sure she knows how much we all love and miss her! I can't believe that god has taken two of my favorite people too early. There are so many things that I looked forward to, BBQ's by the pool and karaoke at get togethers and all the things Connie and I had planned for our little princesses. I miss you both so much but I know you will be waiting when my turn comes around! I love you!

We love you Mike....and already miss you so much! Cindy, Thank you for all that you and Mike have done for us over the years. It's hard to believe that I was just 4 yrs older than Robby is now when you took me and my baby (Amber) into your home. Now you've opened your home to Robby. You've opened your arms to so many kids! Our memories of Mike will be with us forever. From the simple way he answered the phone; "Yellow", to his unique way of saying; "WTF!", or "grab me one while your up! (with that grin on his face!)" Singing "B52" for him or listening to him sing "Wink" and falling at his feet, to the many, many times he has helped us out of a jam. He was such a special man and his song will live on in our hearts forever. We love you... "Gate" and "Jules"

Cindy,
I met Mike in 1995 and had the privelege of working with him on numerous construction jobs. I was Mike's engineer and together we built some challenging bridges. We were a great team. But more than that, we were good friends. During the Highway 18 years Mike would call me on the long drive home and we would talk about work, kids, muzzle loaders, plum wine and our loving wives. Mike and I were the same age and married for about the same time (28 years) so we had alot in common. He reminded me on more than one occasion how important wedding anniversaries were and how he made them special for you. I trusted and respected Mike and I will miss him greatly. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Bridges and structures are monuments of a great career , but Mikes best legacy will be the type of man he was and the love he shared with the great family he has. May you cling to each other in this difficult time, our prayers are with you.

Dear Cindy, Chris, Tony, Jeff and Michelle:
We won't go into all the attributes of Mike, as they are endless, and you know them all too well. Besides everyone on this page has addressed that aspect as well or better than we ever could. But we want you to know that our hearts are with you now, as you experience this horrible emptiness & loss and our hearts will be there with you when everyone goes home. We are so grateful that you are surrounded by a loving, caring family to help you heal. Mikes spirit will always be with you, because nothing was more important to him than his family. We love you Karen & Gene

To our beloved daughter Cindy, grandchildren Chris & Misty, Tony, Jeffrey, Michelle & Dustin. Great-grandchildren Desi, Kyleigh &
Trenton. There are no words to express how we feel about Mike, who was an important part of our family for more than 30 years. He left us a part of himself through his children & grandchildren and we will miss him always. He loved his family dearly and his main goal in life was to love & provide for them, which he did very well. Cindy, you know how much we loved Mike and we will be here for you & your family always & share lots of good memories & funny stories. We also know he's up there with Gus, Louie & Grandpa Ed smiling down on all of us. God Bless.

Mike will be missed by all who knew him. A more kind, gentle, and loving person would be hard to find. We will always remember Mike for his love of family and friends AND for his sense of humor. Mike had a highly developed funny bone but not a single phony bone. His generosity of self was evident in the number of people that came to know him as a friend, dad, brother, mentor, and son. In all the years I knew Mike, he was always the same. Why change perfection? Rick and I loved Mike for his unwavering optimism, his love of life, and his devotion to Cindy, Chris, Tony, Jeff, and Michelle. We loved him because in this day and age, Mike’s authenticity was refreshing. We will miss him very much. Our hearts go out to his family and friends who knew him best and we hope and pray he and Dad will keep Gus and Louie in line and out of trouble up in heaven.

May the special bond and memories you shared with Mike all these years sustain you in the months and years ahead. While I never had a chance to meet him, I know he was special because he lovingly remembered you with so many beautiful flower arrangements on every occasion. I am sure that is just one small example of Mike's loving expression for you Cindy, and your entire family. As you transition in the months ahead, please remember your work family is here for you...in any way we can help.
