Duane holds a very fond place in my heart; a place where my childhood memories live. In my memory, his fun spirit and easy laughter always accompanied my visits with him when I saw my cousins Jeff and Joy. Picking blueberries...not so fun...there were scary white spiders that made me scream, and made him laugh.
I am truly saddened by you loss Jeff and Joy, and I hope you can find peace in knowing that you father, such a good man, is now living in Paradise.

Duane is going to be so deeply missed. He was such a great friend and could fix anything. His late night repair jobs and the great conversations that came with them. Could not meet anyone as nice to be around and always had a smile to greet you with. He was know for his blueberries, fixing sewings machines and any project you had to offer him. He talked about the time he took a sewing class to make a mens suit yet he missed the last class on how to sew the sleaves on. That alway made me laugh. He is going to be so missed. Our deepest sympathy.

We were sorry to read of Duane's passing. As part of the Lester & Shirley Lee Family who lived on the Draham Road for many years (just down the hill and around the corner from the Larsen Family), I am left with neighborhood and school bus memories of Duane and his family. We send our sincere condolences to the Larsen Family.

Duane was probably the most creative individuals that I ever knew. There was probably nothing that would stump Duane when it came to creating a solution to a problem. He will be sorely missed. We will not be able to attend his memorial, but we will be thinking of him as well as Melvin, Neal, Lynn and Vivian. Our deepest sympathy!

I went to high school with Duane (and Mel) but remember him mostly from working with him at the Dept. of Agri. in the lab. We worked together for 10-12 years. He was always so cheerful, kind, considerate and happy no matter what was going on. He used to bring us strawberries from his farm, oh so good. I kept in touch with Duane through the years, he fixed my sewing machine, we met last at our Lacey School reunion. I will be unable to attend his memorial but will always remember Duane with fondness. He was one great person. He will be missed. Lois

Our thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. Uncle Duane will be missed. But most of all he will be remembered; for his smile, good humor and abilitly to fix anything. He will be in our hearts and minds and therefore never really gone. Our love to you all. From Sandra & Grant in Nova Scotia, Canada
