Obituary of Edna H. Waitkevich

Edna Helena Waitkevich Edna H, Waitkevich went home to heaven at the break of dawn on September 16th, 2009. She was surrounded by her family. Edna is survived by her husband Walter, three daughters Cheryl Waitkevich of Olympia Washington, Barbara Viola (Joe) of Puyallup Washington, Sandra Griggs (Robin) of Olympia, Washington, her nephew Larry Jamieson of California, Maryland, and her grandchildren, Joseph Waitkevich of Portland Oregon, Katie and Annie Viola of Puyallup, Washington, and Jesse Griggs of Olympia, Washington. Edna was born June 7, 1929 to Edward and Helen Philbin in Walpole, Massachusetts. In 1952, Edna married Walter and moved to the neighboring town of Norfolk. Edna worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse both in Norfolk and Olympia where she was remembered for her friendly personality, great wit, genuine caring, and empathetic nature. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lawrence and sister Catherine. Donations in Edna’s name can be made to Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice.
