Obituary of Evgeny Paul Snyder

Evgeny (Jzhenya) Paul Snyder died as he lost control of his vehicle the morning of October 1, 2010 while he was driving to work. He was born March 31, 1990 in Perm, Russia. Jzhenya and his younger brother Seroja Grant Snyder, 19 and his sister Angelika Renee Snyder, 18 were adopted from Russia in 2000 by Gary and Diane Snyder. For 10 years he lived with his parents and siblings in the Olympia area. At the time of his death he was living with his family on their farm in Rochester, Washington.Jzhenya was home schooled 5 years, attended Rochester Middle School, Tenino High School and received his GED in 2009. He was a member of North Thurston Life Center and later, Oakville Assembly of God. Jzhenya loved his job at Kraftwerk K-9 where he trained and cared for German Shepherds. This is very telling about Jzhenya’s nature as a person. Even though Jzhenya was the oldest, he was the smallest of his siblings, but his size did not deter him from being the provider and protector for his brother and sister throughout his life. Jzhenya loved hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Snyder, his sister Breanna Shaputis and her husband Brian, and his sister Steffanie Moracha and her husband Josephat all residing in Rochester. Those that wish may donate to a trust fund for Russian Orphans of Osa c/o Oakville Assembly of God P.O. Box 565 Oakville, Washington 98568. Funds collected will be used to meet the specific needs of children at the orphanage where Jzhenya spent 3 years prior to his adoption and similar needs of Russian children in that area. This will be overseen by the Snyders and John Shane of New Hope Outreach. “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27 You may leave memories and condolences for the family by clicking on "View Guestbook" below.
