Obituary of Allan Sartain

Allan W. Satain; also known to some as “Tiny”, passed away April 22, 2010 at St. Peter Hospital. He was born June 8, 1940 in Tipton, California to Jessie and Calvin Sartain. He was one of nine children. Allan worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 14 years, H&N International for 14 ½ years, and Thurston County Roads and Transportation for 9 years. He also served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960-1968.Allan was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Sartain for 43 ½ years; and was the beloved father to Shelly and George Conway, Larry and Kristy Sartain, and Carrie and David Brown. He was also blessed with three loving grandsons; Tyler, Xander and Steven. He is also survived by two older sisters, two older brothers, and many nieces, nephews, and adopted family…(you know who you are). Allan was a great friend to anyone who knew him. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, escorting his wife to fair functions, playing with his three grandsons and attending their school and athletic events and also taking care of his youngest grandson on a daily basis.
