Obituary of David Rolle

David L. Rolle,77, a long time resident of the Tumwater/ Olympia Area, passed away at Providence St. Peter Hospital on Saturday, May 8, 2010. David was born March 16, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA to Virginia Ellen 'Babe' Peters and Col. Norman B. Rolle. He grew up in Redondo Beach and graduated from high school in California. He married the former Dolly Lachman. Following her unexpected death in an accident, he then married Donna Jean Fielder. David served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953, serving in the Korean War, where he earned both the Bronze and Silver Star. David worked as a Herdsman in the Dairy Farm industry for many years, then in Manufactured Home Sales later in life. When he wasn’t hard at work, David enjoyed football (he was a Brett Farve Fan), bull riding, eating, laughing, fishing, and Jack.He was a member of the Master Procrastinator Club. Surviving David are his partner, Suzanne L. Willen; sons, Daniel N. Rolle and Mathew C. Rolle; daughters, Sherry A. Reuter, Jenny S. Rodgers, Lory J. Rolle and Randi K. Randall; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Ron Russo, Ed Rolle, and Jim Rolle. He was preceded in death by both Dolly and Donna; his parents; grandparents; sons, David L. Rolle II and John A. Rolle; a granddaughter; 2 brothers; a sister; and several aunts and uncles. Family suggests memorial donations to Animal Rescue or Cancer Research.
