I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Jean while she was the Kitchen Mgr at a group home for boys in Olympia. She was a very generous and kind woman. We spent a lot of time talking about cooking, and about her life from a "Kitchen" point of view. God Bless you, Jean.
You touched my life in many ways!

I only knew Jean in her final few months on earth, but she left a deep impression on me. Not only did she remind me of my own lost grandmother, but we both shared a strong love of horses and shared many stories about them. What I will remember most about her, is her eyes. That they were beautiful was a given. Beyond that, they were a fascinating combination of gentleness and eagle eye sharpness, as if nothing would pass by her unnoticed. No matter how stealthily you might have approached the cookie jar, she would have caught you anyway........and then smiled and given you the cookie. I will miss you Jean. I will think of you on trail rides -especially when I hit the gas. Much love to all her children. You have to be fatastic people if she had anything to do with it.

Aunt Jean won't be missed by just family and friends though, as she was a priceless asset to an entire community, by giving of herself to many groups and organizations throughout her lifetime. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die - Thomas Campbell.
"Mom" will never die, because she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and love. She will be greatly missed though. I don't think I ever heard her say an unkind word against anyone in all the years I knew her. We should all strive to be more like her. I know she will be watching over all of her family. Thank you for being part of my life, Mom, I will miss having coffee with you!

For more years than I can remember Jean helped us Boston Harbor Girls celebrate birthday's with candles lovingly placed in everything from oatmeal to corn beef hash, delivered with that beautiful smile of hers and welcoming hugs!! Such a hole she left when closing the Cafe` and now knowing her beautiful spirit is no longer gracing us here on earth leaves the hole a bit deeper. Bless You Jean for all the Joy and Love you spread about this community! You will forever be remembered with Love and more thanks for being a presence in our lives!! God Bless You and your Family!! I give thanks for being blessed with knowing you!! Rest in Peace my special Lady!!
