Obituary of Richard Megiveron

None Richard "Dick" "Tricky" Megiveron Richard W. Megiveron (Dick) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 at St. Peter Hospital, at the age of 63. He was born in Vail, Washington, and spent all 12 years in Rainier schools. After graduation, he attended Lower Columbia Community College in Longview. Dick learned to play, and fall in love with, the game of pool. He turned it into a profession, from owning billiard stores, pool halls, and taverns, to playing on the road and in tournaments from coast to coast. He was a teacher and a mentor to many who wanted to learn the game, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those who were in need. After retiring this past year, Dick dearly loved the quality time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon (Mick) and Ruth Megiveron. He is survived by his children and their families Cheryl and Jeff Earlywine (Amanda, Marissa, and Joel); Justin Megiveron and Felisha (Leanna and Aurora); and his sister and brother-in-law Ann and Les Hargrave (nephew Jason Wilson). There are many, many more relatives that were much loved, but too numerous to list. A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Monday, August 23rd, 2 pm at Grace Community Covenant Church in Olympia. If you wish, bring your favorite covered dish, as a potluck will directly follow.
