Obituary of Jackie Jean Kangas

Jackie Jean Kangas, 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her home in Lacey, Washington. Jackie was born March 24, 1939 in Vancouver, Washington to David and Phoebe McCollister. She was raised in a very large family with 10 other siblings. Jackie later started her own family, having 3 sons, Ron, Barry and Tony and 2 daughters, Mary and Barbara. Jackie was later blessed with 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Jackie moved to the Olympia are about 8 years ago to be closer to her family and have her daughter help take care of her. Jackie loved to spend time working on puzzles, being with her family, going on outings with her friends, baking, reading and to help out others as best that she could. Jackie was preceded in death by her father David, mother Phoebe, her brothers Kenneth, Chad, Don, Bob and Orville, her sisters Eleanor, Lucy, Marvell and Doris and her daughter Mary. Jackie is survived by her sister Phyllis, her sons Ron, Barry and Tony and her daughter Barbara. Jackie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
