Obituary of Samuel F. Denton
Samuel F. Denton, 69, a life long resident of Olympia, passed away of cancer at home on March 10, 2010. Sam was born February 19, 1941 to Sam and Dorothy Denton in Tacoma, WA. He graduated from Olympia High School. He married Anna Lee Nadeau in Olympia on February 15, 1992. He worked as a motor messenger for Seattle 1st National Bank for 30 years, then for Olympia School District for 5 years, washing school buses. For hobbies, Sam enjoyed working with wood, reading, gardening and having fun. He never desired to become a boring grownup. He loved helping others and giving advice. He was also a member of the McKenzie Road Southern Baptist Church.Surviving Sam, are his wife, Anna L. Denton; sons Ronald Denton, Tom Hathaway, and Sean Nelson; daughters, Samantha Melton, Jennifer Nelson, and lots of other young ladies who called him DAD; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his sisters Sally Mackel, Dotty Tessadore, and Mary Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Dorothy Denton.
