Obituary of Virginia Ruth Anderson

Virginia Anderson was born December 11, 1927 in Scobey, Mississippi. She died peacefully on November 7, 2005 at her son’s home in Washington State. She was married to Allen Anderson (deceased) on December 22, 1948. They had two children; Mickey Doyle Anderson and William Franklin Allen (Al) Anderson (deceased). She is survived by her son, Mickey D. Anderson and his wife, Kim, their two children, Jennifer Ruth Anderson and Jessica Ann Anderson; her grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy McHugh and her son Mike McHugh and Dorothy’s granddaughter, Jamie McHugh; brothers, Billy Ray Cox and Joe Rice Cox; and someone who meant a lot to her through the years, Fay Wilson. Virginia graduated from Oakland High School. She had been employed since 1978 with the City of Jackson, Mississippi. She retired from the City of Jackson and was last employed with Private Industry Council for Hinds County. Virginia is a true Mississippian and lived there till late 2003 when she moved to Washington State with her son. She had a passion for flowers, gardening and friends. African Violets along with Dogwoods were among her favorite flowers, and she loved fresh blueberries.
