Obituary of Earl Victor Peterson

Earl passed on May 24, 2014. He was born on April 7, 1925 to Matthew and Johanna (Mortenson) Peterson, in Flasher, North Dakota. Earl attended the School of Mines and Tech, Rapid City, South Dakota, LaSalle Ext University, Chicago, Illinois, and the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. In WWII, Earl was in the Army, 71st Infantry, 44th Div, Co I, in central Europe, northern France, and the Rhineland. Earl worked in the federal government GSA as Traffic Manager in Auburn, Washington. He married Helen on November 28, 1997. Earl was an avid golfer, water skier, and chess and bridge player. He belonged to the Elks, NARFE, American Legion, Scouts, and “Y” Indian Guides. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Olympia); sons, Douglas (Monroe, Washington) and Corey (Seattle); and daughter, Sandra Kashpureff (Sterling, Pennsylvania).
