Obituary of Estelle Montague Law

On June 28, 2015, Estelle Montague Law passed away at Centralia, Washington. Estelle was born in Quebec, Canada and was one of 12 children. Eventually, she ended up in Renton, Washington, and worked for Paccar for many years until her retirement. In Renton, she met her husband, Donald Law. They had a great marriage until Don passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day in 2001. With her red hair and vibrant Irish personality, Estelle was a veritable “firecracker.” Her independent nature served her well throughout her life. She left home at a very young age and moved to the United States. She had lived in every corner of the States, eventually settling down in the Northwest. Estelle enjoyed travel and, along with Don, purchased a motorhome, which took them south each winter. She especially enjoyed Palm Springs. Over the years, Estelle had many pets, the last being a kitten named Rusty. Rusty secretly climbed aboard their motorhome from a rest area during one of their trips south. They did not know he was there until many, many miles later, so Rusty the Cat became one of the family. Estelle had a generous nature and, for many years, worked at holiday seasons to collect donations for gifts to the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital. She also enjoyed volunteering each election year at the polls. For many years, come September, Estelle would celebrate her 39th birthday—year after year after year. St. Patrick’s Day was also a celebrated holiday when Estelle O’Law donned her green and joined the festivities. Rest in peace, Estelle, and as the Irish Blessing goes, “… until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.” Please leave memories of Estelle or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
