Obituary of Roger Dean Kindle

Roger Dean Kindle Sr. of Olympia, Washington, went to heaven to be with his Lord on April 18, 2013, after a long illness; he was at his daughter’s home with his family by his side. He was 65 years old. Roger was born June 24, 1947 to Joe and Grace Kindle in Miller, South Dakota, where he spent his entire childhood. He graduated from Miller High School in 1965 and, in the fall, went to automotive school in St. Louis, Missouri. He went into the U.S. Army in 1966 and was discharged in 1969. He married his childhood sweetheart, Sharon Freimark, also of Miller, on March 18, 1967, and to this union a daughter and son were born. Roger was an avid bowler; he bowled in many leagues and also went to many state and national tournaments. He loved camping with family and friends, where he would always get a game of cribbage going. He was also very involved with the Moose and Eagles Lodges. He was an Automotive Tech in the Army and, after being discharged, he worked for various automobile repair shops. He retired in September 2010, and continued to work on his own while at home and having fun with his family and friends. Roger leaves behind to carry on his memory a wife, Sharon; a daughter, Robin (Pat) Colvin; a son, Roger Kindle Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Wendy and Karrie; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandi, Aarron, Alicia, Lindsey and Landon; two great grandchildren, Jaysen and Charlie; four brothers, Joe Kindle of Mitchell, South Dakota, Herman (Linda) Kindle, Bobby (Jeannie) Kindle, Larry (Cindy) Kindle, all of Pierre, South Dakota; one sister, Carol (David) Hines of Rapid City, South Dakota; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Carolyn Danburg of Miller, South Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Grace Kindle; brother, Gary Kindle; nephew, Mike Kindle; and grandson, Adam White. Friends and family are invited to sign the Guestbook below.
