Gina Cook

Obituary of Gina Cook

On January 3, 2024, Gina Cook passed away after a long battle with cancer. She fought hard to be with us as long as possible and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Gina was born in Olympia and remained part of the local community for most of her life, graduating from Tumwater High School, and residing in Lacey, Tumwater, Rochester, and as far south as Vancouver for a short while.

Gina brought her sense of humor and infectious laugh to all that she accomplished, from having her family, to becoming a successful salesperson, to finally becoming an in-home special-needs caregiver.

Gina is survived by her children, Elizabeth and Elissa Helenius; husband, Matthew Cook; grandchildren, Milani Helenius and Elijah Campos; father, Tony Lilly; mother, Rayette Spencer; brother, Jesse Lilly; and sisters, Angela Lilly and Alison Griffin.

A memorial for Gina will be held at Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98503 on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
