Obituary of Gerald L. Marsh

January 8, 2024, Gerald L. Marsh, resident of Littlerock, Washington, went home to be with the Lord. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home. He was a devoted, faithful and wise husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was 79 years old.

 

Jerry worked in the computer networking, communications, and security industry for over 40 years. Jerry, a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, served as a youth leader and was an active member and elder in various churches. His interests included ham radio, Bible study, studying genealogy, spending time with his family, and traveling and exploring the history of new places. His favorite trips included cruises, RVing, trips to Germany to visit with his daughter, and several trips to Hawaii.

 

He was born in Artesia, California, on December 11, 1944, the youngest son of Edwin Howell Marsh and Myrtle May (Houk) Marsh.  In his younger years, he grew up on the family farms in California and Oregon. Jerry graduated from high school in Colton, Oregon.  While attending college in Eugene, Oregon, he met his wife, Claudia Ditgen, in a church choir.  He married her September 9, 1966

 

Gerald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Claudia; and their children, Michelle (Andy) Beeman, Christine (Sam) Neely, Doug Marsh, Heather (Kevin) Powers; eight grandchildren; and his older brothers, Laurence (Karen) Marsh and Marion (Lucille) Marsh.
