Obituary of Christina Lee (Billington) Abel

Christina Lee (Billington) Abel passed away January 6, 2024, in Tumwater, Washington.  She was born November 16, 1950, to Gerald Billington and Betty (Williams) Leahy in Yakima, Washington.  She also resided in Shelton, Washington, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

Christina graduated from Sunset High School in 1969. She worked for Career Quest for 17 years; her co-workers were part of her extended family. Also, she loved her clients and they loved her in return. She was known as Nana and Aunt Chris to her family and friends.

Christina is aptly described by a quote from Shakespear’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, “Though she be little, she is fierce.”  She planned to travel more and just received her passport to venture outside the U.S.  She also loved dressing up for Halloween, playing darts, and singing Karaoke.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Abel (Todd Rowley); sister, Peggy Leahy; and nephews, David Pfaff and Jake Pfaff.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 25, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at the River’s Edge restaurant at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course, 4611 Tumwater Valley Dr. SE, Olympia, WA 98501.
