Obituary of Carol A. Hahn

Carol A."Kicky" Hahn passed away on March 15, 2023, following a brief dementia-related illness.

 

Kicky was born on April 8, 1937, in Duluth, Minnesota, to George and Carol Bethune. She was raised in Proctor, Minnesota, where she established friendships that lasted a lifetime. After graduating from Proctor High School in 1955, Kicky attended The College of St. Scholastica, where she earned a degree in Medical Technology. After graduation, Kicky moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she met the love of her life, Arthur Hahn. Kicky and Arthur were married on December 29, 1962, in Proctor, Minnesota. She and Arthur lived in several cities before eventually settling in Tumwater, Washington, in 1979. They enjoyed weekend getaways to the Oregon Coast and trips back to the Midwest to visit family and friends. Kicky enjoyed time with her family, walks around the neighborhood, and her special relationships with her dear neighbors and friends. Kicky was loved and respected as a mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Kicky was preceded in death by her parents, George and Carol; and her loving husband, Arthur.

 

She is survived by her son, David; daughter, Kathy; son-in-law, Chris; and grandson, Joshua, who brought a special joy to her life.

 

Kicky was a woman of God and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. At Kicky’s request, there will be no memorial service. The family respectfully requests that donations be made in Kicky’s honor to Smile Train, St. Jude's, or HEED Uganda.
