Obituary of Charles Alfred Edquist

Charles Alfred “Chuck” Edquist, age 91, passed away on October 11, 2022, in Olympia Washington.  He grew up in Seattle at Alki Point and lived most of his life in Seattle.  Chuck was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Seattle and an avid University of Washington “Husky Fan.”  

He graduated from Bothell High School in 1950 and proudly worked as a warehouseman at the University of Washington for over 40 years. 

Chuck, also frequently called “Charlie,” was a fun-loving guy.  For 59 years, he was a devoted husband to Barbara Holtum Edquist, until she passed away in 2019. Since 2016, he has been a resident of the Woodland Retirement Community in Lacey, Washington. 

Chuck was a fun-loving happy guy who loved his family and especially enjoyed all his nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by family and friends in both Seattle and Olympia. 

Chuck is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Nancy Edquist; his brother, Ted Edquist; and nephew, Stephen Edquist. He is survived by his brother, Paul Edquist; four nieces, Karol Swenson, Joan Reberger, Stacia Ward, and Nicole Floyd); and two nephews, David Edquist and Aaron Ward. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Nancy Edquist of Seattle and Lois Ward of Olympia.
