Obituary of Destyn Louise Ferris-Davis

Destyn Louise Ferris-Davis passed away July 27, 2022, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born July 13, 1958, to Earl and Irene Ferris in St. Louis, Missouri.  Through the years, she also resided in Chehalis, Centralia and Wenatchee, Washington, and Lagrange, Ohio.   

 

Destyn graduated from high school in Centralia (1976) and Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio (1998).  She married Richard Ford Davis on October 19, 1981, in Centralia. Professionally, she was Director of Food Service at Chartwells (1998-2004), and head chef at Woodland Estates (2007-2012).

 

Destyn was kind-hearted and witty, sarcastic and sweet, non-judgmental and loved people for who they were.  She also loved and was so proud of all her nieces and nephews.

 

She loved her morning cup of coffee, a good TV show/movie, strolls in her Scooter, smoke breaks, and car rides.  She also loved creating recipes, art and making jewelry, playing pool, and making the most fun out of every situation.

 

Destyn is survived by her son, Ferris Davis; siblings, Belinda Timpke, Jeff Ferris, Matt Ferris, Fran Buzzard, Felicia Douglass, Amy Ferris, and Anna Ferris; and many beloved nieces and nephews of whom she was so proud.  She was predeceased by her husband and parents.

 

A celebration of Destyn’s life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Borst Park Kitchen #1, 902 Johnson Road, Centralia, WA 98531.
