Roger Cook

Obituary of Roger B Cook

Roger B. Cook passed away December 14, 2021, in Olympia, Washington.  He was born August 18, 1946, to David and Marjorie Cook in Maryville, Missouri. He was a Centralia, Washington, resident for 5 ½ years.

Although Roger had learning disabilities and didn’t get a high school diploma, he was very intelligent.  Some would say he graduated from the school of hard knocks. He married Kathleen on October 18, 1964, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Roger owned a bowling center and was a semi-professional bowler. He bowled multiple 800-series games, and too many 300 games to count. He loved coaching bowlers, and teaching people how to play pool and billiards.  He also loved fishing.

Roger was hardworking, independent, generous, playful and talkative.  He could make a quick friend and get along with anybody. He would strike up a conversation with stranger, and would even invite some of them home for dinner.  He also liked to chat it up with the pro desk crew at Home Depot.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sons, Rob (Cindy) and Ron (Lisa); grandchildren, Matthew (Adrienne), Joshua (Cassandra), Kylah, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Addison, Emerson, Declan, Finley, Amelia, Oliver, and Isabella; and brother, Larry.  He was predeceased by his parents, David and Marjorie; brother, Ronald; Larry’s wife, Linda; and grandson, Daniel.

Memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Fellowship, 277 Brown Rd E, Chehalis, WA 98532
