Obituary of Susan Cox

Susan “Kathy” Cox passed away August 20, 2020, in Centralia, Washington, her home of 35 years.  She was born October 31, 1949, to Bill and Wava Turner in Chehalis, Washington.

 

Kathy attended Centralia College (1967-1968), and married Freelen Lee Cox on July 31, 1968. He passed away December 27, 2016.

 

Her professional career included being an occupational job coach, restaurant owner, hair dresser, and telephone operator.  She enjoyed camping in Ocean Shores, NASCAR, and football.  She also collected antiques and was a dog lover. In her later years, when Kathy was frustrated or trying to be funny, would give her middle finger.

 

Kathy is survived by children, Kim Mask (Joe) of Chehalis, Kelli Jett of Oregon, and Kory Cox (Lola) of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Turner (Sheryl) of Olympia, and Sam Turner of Olympia; and sister, Karen Bland (Sparky) of Elma, Washington.

 

The Celebration of Life scheduled for September 19, 2020, has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.  It will be re-scheduled at a later date.
