I’m at a loss of words. Ron was an amazing person and always made me laugh when we played co-softball together in the senior league. My heart goes out to the family and you are in my thoughts.

My sincere condolences to you, Val, and your family, on hearing of Ron's passing. I always enjoyed talking with and hanging out with Ron (and you) and some of our mutual friends in high school. Though we didn't cross paths often afterwards, it was always nice to again chat with Ron when we did. He was always just such a likeable kind of guy! And he never seemed to change! Obviously, Val, you guys had something so very special; I'm so sorry for your loss.

Ron will be missed by many. He made friends easily and I am proud to say I was one of them. I will remember the many softball tournaments we played together and how we hated those 9:00 league games as we got older.
Val, our family sends their deepest sympathy to you and your family.

It was heartbreaking for me to hear of Ron’s passing. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for Val and the family. It was a shock to me. I’ve known Ron for a long time. I played softball with Ron for several years. In fact, a few days before his passing, we were talking about getting some of the old Jabog players together again for softball. Now, that won’t happen. I will miss Ron. He was a good friend. We had lots of good times. Goodbye old friend.

My thoughts and prayers to all of Ron's family and Friends. Unlike many of you I was only lucky enough to know Ron for a little more than 10 years. In that short period of time he became one of my very best friends. We spent 5 mornings a week together for almost all of those years. To say that Ron was a good listener is an understatement. He was always there for me when I needed him. Some people at the gym would say " What do you guys talk about? You talk in the gym and then stand in the parking and talk some more". Yes we did, and some days we would go for coffee and fat pill and talk for a couple more hours! We talked about everything and I miss my friend very much. He was a bright and quick thinker and passionate about things he believed in always wanting to right a wrong. He greatly missed by all of his "gym rat" friends. Not a day goes by that some doesn't give me a hug or a handshake for the loss of the man who was like a brother to me. Rest in peace my friend.

It was a real gut punch when I was informed that Ron had passed. I have known Ron since Washington Jr. High and graduated with him in 1966. I rode my bike many times from my home, near OHS, to his house on Bethel St. to hang out. We spent many a Friday night together during high school at Egan's drive-in on the west side. We laughed and had a lot of real fun together. Ron was a friend, a best friend, that I will miss very much.

How sad it is to hear about Ron. Cathy and I keep Val and the entire extended Egan family in our prayers. Ron was a wonderful colleague at WDFW; thoughful, kind-hearted and a good listener. One day years ago, when I was taking the kids to LBA Park for baseball or fastpitch or maybe just the playground, I saw Ron mowing his lawn and realized we lived only about a mile apart. He then made sure I knew that if I ever needed anything, he would be happy to help. After he retired, he was my go-to guy when I needed a load of bark or something hauled. The easiest way to afford a truck is know someone with one, and Ron was always eager to help out. He was an excellent example to all who knew him of how to live a generous life. I will miss him greatly.

It's been hard to wrap our heads around the fact that Ron is gone. We always enjoyed anytime we were able to spend with him. Tom and Ron were mustache buddies for sure, they both pull it off so handsomely.
I hope Val, Amy, Paul and family find a way to carry on without him being around to spend time with. May you carry your love for him with you always.
Our sincere condolences for the great loss of a great man.

To the family and friends of my dear cousin Ron. I was so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing.
My mother wrote in my baby book that Ron was my first playmate. Our mothers were dear sisters that grew up in a farm house with no running water or electricity. I am sorry that the miles between us did not allow more visits so I will let my memories warm my heart as we all should at this sad time. Ron was blessed with loving parents and a beautiful wife, children and grandchildren and I am sending love and hugs for everyone. God bless all of you and let your wonderful memories of him warm your heart.

Our hearts are breaking. Ron was one of the first Chuck met when hiring on at WDFW. He and Val became good friends. I regret not making that hot fudge sundae for him. Our prayers and utmost condolences go out to Val, Paul and Amy and all the family. Ron was the best of the best and will surely be missed. Love to all.

Coach Egan was my favorite baseball coach ever, including even my own dad's time in the dug out.
That year in Fifth grade with Pauly and the rest of the guys for McKinley was a wonderful season with lots of fun. We played hard and won most of our games, what more can a boy ask for? I have fond memories and wish the Egan family well. It sounds like Coach will be waiting, just keep him waiting, for your arrival due to his belief in Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer.
