Obituary of Sabina Louise Tweit

Sabina Louise (Peter) Tweit, 55, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 21, 2018 in Olympia, Washington, her lifelong home.  She was born March 15, 1963 to Arthur W. and Lilo K. Peter in Tacoma, Washington.

Sabina attended St. Placid High School and graduated from Olympia High School, Class of 1981, and from Saint Martin’s College, Class of 1987, with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.  She worked at Heritage Bank as AVP Finance and Reporting Officer (1987-2018).

Sabina married Scott Tweit in June 1989 in Olympia.  She belonged to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, was a Board member of Good Shepherd Pre-school, and on the Board of Directors/Treasurer of Girl Scouts of Western Washington (2002-2011).

Sabina loved giving of herself to others and volunteering. She was a voracious reader and loved film, movies and music.  She also loved traveling to her favorite places, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Maui, and Bend, Oregon.

Sabina had an unmatched positive outlook.  She fought long and hard with a smile on her face and love in her heart.  She lived life to the fullest and to the end. Sabina touched so many throughout her life with love and compassion and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Tweit; daughters, Julia Tweit and Karoline Tweit; sister, Cornelia Kirkpatrick; and mother, Lilo Peter.  Her father, Aurther W. Peter, predeceased her in 1979.

Services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1515 Harrison Ave. NW, Olympia, WA 98502.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
