Very sorry to hear of Andy's passing. We were friends while Andy and I worked at UPS. We went camping with friends, and hung out quite a bit during that time and I was fond of Andy's bright personality and humor - such a quick witted, funny guy who always made me laugh. Requiescat in pace, Andy.

I have just learned of Andy’s passing, and so I sit here thinking about the fun we had together, the kindness and companionship he so willingly shared. I remember sitting on the floorboards of his Subaru where the front seat was supposed to be and lots and lots of laughing. I remember how sweet he was with his grandfather, who he was living with at the time (1989/90?). I am grateful to have shared some time with him in this crazy life, and send you all much love. He was a wonderful person.

I was definitely one of those people who wanted to ski "like Andy!" Being just a little bit younger than him, some of my earliest ski memories are of following him around on the Sahalie hill and trying to get in line for the rope tow behind him so he could help hold it up for me. My childhood is full of many great times and fun memories with Andy and the rest of the Sahalie kids of the time. His smile has always lit up a room and he was very kind. Mary, Arnie, & Aaron, my heart breaks for your loss, and also for the many others who knew Andy and will miss him. Sending you love and comfort in this difficult time.
~Danielle

Andrew was my cousin and just a few months older than I. We grew up not far from one another and spent much of our childhood together. I loved our family get togethers, because I knew I would see Andy, and when I was little, thought would marry him when we grew up. I remember a ski trip my family took with my aunt, uncle and Andy. I didn’t do so good on that ski trip, but Andy was a natural. My favorite part of that trip was running in the snow and jumping into the heated pool with him. We swam a lot, at my grandparents house and then the pool they put in at his home. We also took a trip to California which is one of my favorite childhood memories.
Andrew ALWAYS had a huge smile on his face, and had a laugh that will forever live in my memory and heart.
Andrew you are so very loved and missed. I know that we will be together again someday, and will be able to laugh with you again.

I am so incredibly sorry for such a heartbreaking loss.
During my years at Sahalie I remember Andy's warm smile, easy laugh, and genuine ability to connect with people. He was a lot of fun, and such a caring person. I have great memories with Andy skiing the back country of Alpental, night skiing, and just being at the club each weekend. He was an amazing skier, with the perfect balance of grace and strength.
I am so very sorry for your great loss, and send my love and prayers to your whole family.

Andy helped me be the best father I could be. He was always there to help and we had the best times skiing Mt. Baker together. We got stuck at Mt. Baker in 1982 for three days after the highway was washed out by the river. Never forgot hearing he shredded the cliffs of Alpental to the left of the main lodge, left of chair one. The best skier I have ever skied with Andy Blaker, and my best buddy. Love you Andy.
