Karen Anne Phillips, age 59, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, in her home in Olympia, Washington. She was born June 11, 1960, to Clara and Dick Phillips. From a young age, Karen was strong, independent, hard-working and unendingly generous. Her joy and humor was infectious, and she had so much love to give.

Her passions included snowmobiling, golfing, rock hunting, beach combing, and spending time with those she loved. Her loved ones would say her happy place was spending days on the river, looking for beautiful rocks with Cinda and Daniel.
Karen is survived by her brothers and their wives, Mike and Patti, Bob and Lyric, Rick and Gina, Ron and Hope, and Jim; lifelong friends, Cinda Sackrison and Daniel Detlefson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her nieces and nephews who were so dear to her, Kassie, Karlie, Eric, Daniel, Tessa, Parker, Logan, James, and Sydney.
The celebration of Karen's life scheduled for June 11, 2020, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
